Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, is a unique model of seasonal food production and distribution that brings farmers and consumers into a relationship. CSA members purchase a “share” of a farm’s harvest upfront, establishing a solid financial foundation for the farm prior to the start of the growing season. In return, CSA members receive a regular selection of farm-fresh food throughout the season, whether vegetables, fruit, meat, mushrooms, flowers, herbs, grains, eggs, dairy, or a combination of products. With a range of styles and sizes, CSA shares suit a wide variety of households, income levels, and appetites, all while supporting local agriculture.

Along with farm-fresh food, other benefits of CSA membership often include:
Farm newsletters with each CSA share, including notes about farm activities, share contents, cooking tips, and recipes
Opportunities to visit the farm and attend farm events
Exclusive access to pick-your-own flowers, herbs, and other crops
A discount in cost as compared to the farmers market or even the organic section of the grocery store
Health benefits of eating fresh, local food all season long
Financial subsidies or payment plans for households who cannot pay the full share price
Knowing your farmer uses sustainable farming practices that limit environmental impact
Building relationships with your farmers and fellow CSA members
