On Saturday, May 9, Basilica Hudson’s biannual Farm & Flea event returns to the industrial Hudson space. The event brings together dozens of local vendors spanning farms to vintage clothing, handmade ceramics, jewelry, pantry purveyors, and food vendors. Wally Farms will be onsite hosting agricultural workshops, Cone Zero Ceramics will be doing clay pot throwing demos on the wheel, and there will be movement workshops for kids. Basilica is also the final stop of the Mad Hatter Parade with its puppets and live marching band. Bring the kids, pick up seedlings for your garden, a treat for yourself, or a last minute present for mom. On the food front, a special callout to Sira Ulo pop-up—the Filipino food project from Jesseca Naldo and Harrison Cohen that has become one of the Valley’s most exciting roaming kitchens. The entirely gluten- and nut-free menu for this weekend is built around rice and pancit bowls with protein options like guava-pork belly ‘tocino’ and grilled lemongrass-ginger chicken.
