The Hudson Valley Renegades are retiring their ‘Hudson Valley Cider Donuts’ alternate team identity, created in honor of the region’s favorite fall treat, and sending mascot Dusty the Donut off in the only reasonable way: bringing in competitive-eating legend Joey Chestnut. Chestnut will become the first person to face the team’s Cider Donut Challenge before the Renegades take on the Jersey Shore BlueClaws and close the night with fireworks. A limited number of ‘Eat Like Joey’ packages include a meet and greet, an all-you-can-eat buffet of ballpark burgers and hot dogs, and a ticket to the game.
